Ética, Hábitos, Virtudes e Felicidade: Patrimônio Cultural e Testamento Carlos Amorim  O artigo resulta das questões apresentadas na conferência “Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional e a Ética” proferida no III Congresso Brasileiro de Controle Público: Ética Pública e Desenvolvimento; ocorrido em Salvador, em outubro de 2010. Apresentando inicialmente o estado do IPHAN na Bahia e partindo da etimologia do termo, o autor procura aproximar historicamente uma ação ética à prática preservacionista dos bens culturais no Brasil. Ao distinguir acervo de patrimônio nacional, e tomando como referência a discussão proposta por Hannah Arendt na relação passado/futuro, o artigo apresenta brevemente a evolução do conceito de patrimônio cultural no país, concomitante à postura ética da ação institucional do IPHAN.Palavras-chave: Ética. Abstract The article is the result of the issues presented at the conference "National Historical and Artistic Heritage and Ethics" given at the III Brazilian Congress on Public Control: Public Ethics and Development, held in Salvador in October 2010. Initially presenting the condition of IPHAN in Bahia and based on the etymology of the word, the author seeks a historically close to the action ethics of cultural preservation practice in Brazil. By distinguishing collection of national patrimony, and with reference to the discussion proposed by Hannah Arendt in the past / future relationship, the article briefly presents the evolution of the concept of cultural heritage in the country, concomitant with the ethical stance of the institutional action IPHAN.
